Saisonauftakt der Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge und des Sports Cup Suisse 2018
Hart umkämpfte Rennen in Spielberg: Keller gewinnt GT3 Cup Challenge Suisse
Rotkreuz. Der Saisonauftakt der GT3 Cup Challenge und des Porsche Sports Cup Suisse fand vom 26. bis 28. April auf dem Red Bull Ring statt. An den freien Trainings am Donnerstag und Freitag nahmen bei kalten Temperaturen um die 14 Grad Celsius mehr als 80 Fahrer teil. Bei den Rennen am Samstag starteten mehr als 70 Teilnehmer dann bei sommerlichen Temperaturen von ca. 30 Grad Celsius auf der 4,318 Kilometer langen Strecke in der Steiermark in Österreich. Es wurden jeweils zwei Sprintrennen der Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Suisse und des Porsche Sports Cup Suisse ausgetragen.

Das Jahr 2018 hat bei bester Stimmung seinen Anfang genommen.



Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europe season has officially kicked off last weekend in Italy, on the legendary circuit of Monza. A record grid of 47 cars guaranteed an exciting and very tough racing action throughout the weekend. Among such field, the Swiss team has managed to come away with important points in the bag and a lot of data on which to build up for the next rounds of the championship.

The car n. 93 of Nicolas Stürzinger and Alain Valente finished race 1 in 8th position. In the second race, while fighting to get into the top five in the PRO class, they were hit from behind on the very last lap and lost some places in the process finishing this time in P7.

Car n. 7 or Roberto Pampanini and Milos Pavlovic racing in the PRO-AM category finished race 1 in P9 and race 2 in P8. They were running in first position [...]

Podium finishes kicks off Sportec Motorsport’s season in the Porsche Sports Cup Suisse.

The Swiss team had a very positive race weekend by getting on the podium in all the categories they entered. In particular with a second place finish in the the group 5D with Ernst Keller and in the group 7A with a second, third and fourth place finish with respectively Gregor Burkard, Andreas Corradina and Jürgen Daum.

Later on, in the 100 miles endurance race, the Swiss team has once again reached the overall podium with the second place finish with the drivers Andreas Corradina & Ilya Melnikov. The team also scored good points by finishing in fourth, fifth and tweleth place overall with Gregor Burkard & Ricard Burkard, Ernst Keller and Jurgen Daum & Mickael Klein.

The second racing weekend of the Blancpain Lamborghini Super Trofeo championship was held in Silverstone (UK).

The Swiss racing team had a difficult weekend due to unlucky circumstances which prevented them from scoring important results.

Technical problems slowed down the progress of the work throughout the whole weekend and in those circumstances it was simply not possible to come away with important results in the bag.

Now important work is being done in order to make sure that things work out better in the next race in Paul Ricard scheduled on the 25 & 26 of June in Paul Ricard (F).

The second round of the Porsche Cup Swiss Championship was held in Paul Ricard (France). It was a very successful weekend for the Swiss outfit as they managed to score two pole positions and win both races in the GT3 Cup Challenge with Ernst Keller. These results meant also that they are now leading the overall championship standings.

The second car of Sportec Motorsport driven by Franco Piergiovanni finished both races in sixth position.

In the Endurance 100 Miles race, the team was successful once again. This time it scored a third place finish with Ernst Keller after a tight battle. In fact, top three drivers finished the race only 2.3 seconds apart.

In the “Course Sport Cup”, Sportec Motorsport driver Markus Humbel was with the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and he clinched a race win in his class.

Third round of the very competitive Blancpain Super Trofeo Lamborghini Europe was held last weekend in France on the famous Paul Ricard circuit.

The grid was packed with a record 47 cars compeeting in four different categories, PRO, PRO-AM, AM and Cup.

The Swiss team scored a win and a third place with Philipp Schlegel. This was a debut for the Swiss driver in the series and if it all goes to plan he will continue racing also in Spa-Francorchamps, next race of the championship.

Christoph Lenz, also racing in the AM category, finished both races in the points. Tenth in race one and seventh place in race two, he is showing constant progress since the beginning of the season.

In the PRO-AM class, Roberto Pampanini and Milos Pavlovic scored a seventh place finish in race two.

It was an unlucky and therefore difficult weekend for the Swiss duo driving the car #93. Nicolas Stürzinger [...]
