First win of the season for Sportec Motorsport in Super Trofeo Lamborghini 2016
Third round of the very competitive Blancpain Super Trofeo Lamborghini Europe was held last weekend in France on the famous Paul Ricard circuit.
The grid was packed with a record 47 cars compeeting in four different categories, PRO, PRO-AM, AM and Cup.
The Swiss team scored a win and a third place with Philipp Schlegel. This was a debut for the Swiss driver in the series and if it all goes to plan he will continue racing also in Spa-Francorchamps, next race of the championship.
Christoph Lenz, also racing in the AM category, finished both races in the points. Tenth in race one and seventh place in race two, he is showing constant progress since the beginning of the season.
In the PRO-AM class, Roberto Pampanini and Milos Pavlovic scored a seventh place finish in race two.
It was an unlucky and therefore difficult weekend for the Swiss duo driving the car #93. Nicolas Stürzinger and Alain Valente haven’t managed to score any points.
Next race of the LBSTE championship will be held in Belgium at Spa-Francorchamps on July 29/30/31.
