A positive start of the season for Sportec Motorsport 2016
Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europe season has officially kicked off last weekend in Italy, on the legendary circuit of Monza. A record grid of 47 cars guaranteed an exciting and very tough racing action throughout the weekend. Among such field, the Swiss team has managed to come away with important points in the bag and a lot of data on which to build up for the next rounds of the championship.
The car n. 93 of Nicolas Stürzinger and Alain Valente finished race 1 in 8th position. In the second race, while fighting to get into the top five in the PRO class, they were hit from behind on the very last lap and lost some places in the process finishing this time in P7.
Car n. 7 or Roberto Pampanini and Milos Pavlovic racing in the PRO-AM category finished race 1 in P9 and race 2 in P8. They were running in first position during the first half or race 2 but due to unlucky circumstances they lost ground as the race progressed.
Car n. 58 of Christoph Lenz was forced to retire in both races due to contacts made with other drivers.
Next race of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo championship will be held in Silverstone on the 15 & 16 of May.
